SARVAJANIK EDUCATION SOCIETY Sarvajanik Education Society (SES), a prestigious trust founded for the benefit of society in Surat in 1912, began with a single secondary school—then known as the English School (Dhingali’s School or Doll’s School). Over more than a century, SES has grown substantially and now operates 35 educational institutions, delivering education from pre-school up to postgraduate levels, spanning disciplines like engineering and management. It also hosts two dedicated research centers: one focused on languages and social sciences, and another on environmental engineering.
SARVAJANIK UNIVERSITY Sarvajanik University was established by the Sarvajanik Education Society on 1st June 2021, under the Gujarat Private Universities Act No.8 of 2009 and Amendment Gujarat Private University Act No.15 of 2021. “Integrated, Inclusive and Innovative” approach are the core values on which the Sarvajanik University believes to walk forward. To guide, educate, mentor the youth of the nation, under one umbrella is the key objective of the University. Under its aegis there are eight constituent institutes imparting education in domains of Arts, Business, Commerce, Architecture and Design, Engineering, Law, Management, Science and humanities.
SARVAJANIK COLLEGE OF LAW To meet the evolving societal demands and the rising interest in legal studies, SES inaugurated a self-financed Law College during the academic year 2015–16. The college received approvals from both the Bar Council of India and Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. It began with an intake of 120 students into the First Year LL.B. program in 2015–16, followed by the Second Year in 2016–17 and the Third Year in 2017–18. With the creation of Sarvajanik University in 2021, the law college became one of its key constituent colleges, further solidifying its reputation in legal education. As one of Gujarat’s leading institutions for legal studies, Sarvajanik College of Law (SCL) remains at the forefront of academic excellence, awarded with 4-Star rating and 4th Position in the State of Gujarat by the Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework (GSIRF) 2024. Aligned with Sarvajanik University’s forward-thinking vision, the college embraces innovative pedagogies, including the adoption of liberal studies, life skills, and a wide range of professional and interdisciplinary electives. These offerings are designed to cultivate critical thinking, creative expression, and socially responsible global citizenship among students.
